Preparation
One Rhizopon AA tablet contains 50 milligrams of indolylbutyric acid, 20% of the weight of the total tablet. The remaining 200 mg of the tablet is carrier substance. These substances cause the tablet to disintegrate and the active substance to dissolve in water.
A Rhizopon AA tablets solution is made by dissolving one or more Rhizopon AA tablets in one litre of water. Rhizopon recommends using a hand blender for 1 minute to smash the tablets in a small amount of water and then replenish. This is to ensure that all active substance is released from the carrier substances and dissolved properly. A residual insoluble substance remains as sediment. This does not affect efficacy.
Once a solution with Rhizopon AA tablets has been prepared, it cannot be stored for long. When exposed to light, temperature and organic contamination, the active ingredient is quickly degraded again. Therefore, prepare the Rhizopon AA tablets solution shortly before use.
One tablet dissolved in one litre of water gives a concentration of 50 ppm.
A solution of Rhizopon AA tablets can be applied in several ways. This instruction covers the absorption (long soak) method. Explanations on the total immersion method can be found in the relevant instruction.
Use the Rooting Guide to determine the best method and concentration to be used for your crop. If additional information is needed, please contact the Rhizopon helpdesk.
Rhizopon advises to test the performance of our products on each crop in advance with small quantities of cuttings. This to avoid damage from using too high a concentration or to avoid less results from too low a concentration.
